W Montreal
Old Montreal | $$$$ | Website
Whatever/Whenever. That is the W's motto, and its five-year-old Montreal hotel (the only one in Canada) seems to pull it off with panache to spare. Strategically located in the heart of urban Montreal —perfect for business travelers, partiers, festivalgoers or those who love to just wander the city — what ties all its guests together is the service they receive. Famously good-looking Montreal doesn't disappoint at the W, which is staffed with female and male beauties decked in black and always eager to help.
All W hotels are different; Montreal's incarnation seems to have been bestowed the "nightclub" theme. Next to its ground-level Wunderbar (a popular spot for locals, too), even the main lobby is dark and sexy, while the lifts are dimmed and have music pumping too. Rooms are decorated in signature W style — sleek, minimalist and in electric blue. There are the famous see-through showers of course, just one part of this hotel's uber-sultry vibe. Maybe a bit off-putting for some unsuspecting corporate stuffy types, but cooler than cool for the rest.

Perfect for the trendy traveler
I first experienced the W hotel one cold winter night when someone broke into my loft in Montreal….my brother paid for my room and this is how I started with the W. Since then I’ve fallen in love with Starwoods points program and make every effort to not only stay in a W hotel, but a nice Starwood hotel.
Ok so let get to the point here….the rooms are on the small side, the service is great, and it’s about as trendy as you can get in Montreal. The décor is dark, the Wunderbar is popular with locals and I would suggest this for the Trendy + Leisure travelers….if you’re seeking a quiet, low key hotel don’t come here. Expect to pay good money to eat here (room service) or at Otto, the restaurant located on the main floor.
What really bothers me about these hotels, and not to bash the W, but almost all hotels, is the crazy prices for internet service. I would rather have free internet then free water…..it’s actually more important to me then water! Give me one less pillow and include the internet.
Overall I suggest this hotel if you want something trendy in Montreal!

Pure Party Accommodations Review #1
The W Hotel,I have to agree with Jazz on this one, It is a Trendy place to stay. Location, design, atmosphere. It has it all. the Service and Rooms although are a bit on the smaller side all contain your the nice flat screen TV and lights that make you feel “Cool”.
The best thing about this hotel would have to be the Lounge Bar and the W club. This is key for everyone who stays at the hotel because you are walks away from your room and away from the party! There are always many tourists and/or regulars who enjoy hanging out, maybe it could be your lucky night!.
Check it out if you are in the area

This place is pretty wild...
I’ve been to the W Montreal a few times – eaten at its restaurant, danced in its clubs, and seen a few rooms. This place is pretty wild. Its pretty fitting that a sexy, nightclub city like Montreal would craft its W just like this and fill it with beautiful people. Besides the image, there’s the service and experience: the free yoga classes in the park across the street, for example, or the special room service menu for your dog or cat. In its niche (young, trendy, urban) there’s no other hotel like it in the city. I can’t see my Mom liking it, you know, but I don’t think the W really cares that much.
